Good Morning Community!

In case you weren't aware, today is Give Something Away Day. Imagine a day when you could clean house and get rid of clutter, show someone that you care, gift small things to strangers, and generally make the world a better place. Yes, this day does, in fact, exist and on July 15 we celebrate Give Something Away Day! My fellow Community Manager Elizabeth Perron is the absolute queen of finding a new home for things she loves. She spreads joy to fellow co-workers and friends by thoughtfully giving away things that she no longer needs.

So today, Be Like Elizabeth. Find a new home for something that means something to you but you no longer need. We'd love to hear more about your experience giving things away below in the comments!

As it so happens, the Echo "Alexa" device that I was gifted myself about a year ago (and haven't even opened) found a great home today with a friend in Seattle! I'm so happy for it to go where's it's wanted.

I am part of a Facebook Group called the "Buy Nothing" group. On there we post things we're giving away and people claim then. Or we even post things we're looking for - and people respond by saying they have one to give. It's an amazing group, and a movement that's growing - I encourage you to check out it there's a Buy Nothing group in your locality (they are all geographical based so that you are giving to and receiving from your neighbours)

That's fantastic Elizabeth Johnson‍ - we take so much inspiration from our fellow co-workers here at Blackbaud, and Elizabeth is our guiding light in the Community for thoughtfulness and enlightenment. I'm glad she's not the only Elizabeth that inspires others!

Ray this is great. I love - "Be like Elizabeth" I have an entire closet of stuff that I plan to find new homes for when we start leaving the house again! Being home all the time definitely makes me want less clutter, not that I had a lot. We have a great network of sharing things at my work when I can go back.
