Padma Lakshmi and JOHNNYSWIM join the bbcon lineup!

Published
The countdown to bbcon is officially on and we are thrilled to welcome another incredible speaker to the mainstage—Padma Lakshmi!

You may know her best from her role as a host on Top Chef or from her new Hulu series Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi.

What you might not know is that Padma was recently appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program, where she will work to grow support for the U.N.’s Global Goals, including addressing inequality worldwide. She also co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America to advance awareness and treatment for the disease, after having long suffered from it herself.

Her passion and work have taken her around the world, and we can’t wait to hear more about her insight and experience. Don’t miss our conversation with Padma Lakshmi at bbcon 2020 Virtual, October 6–8!

A special living room performance by JOHNNYSWIM!

That’s not all! Singer-songwriter duo, JOHNNYSWIM, will be joining us for a special living room performance! The popular husband and wife band from Los Angeles is known for their rock energy and pop ambition sound creating hits like their 2014 single, "Home", which famously became the theme song to HGTV’s hit show, Fixer Upper.

The bbcon goodness continues with a special volunteering event. We’re teaming up with the International Child Art Foundation and challenge each of you, and your families, to share a piece of artwork that shows how YOU are changing the world. You don’t have to be the next Van Gogh or Picasso to participate, just be willing to tap into your creativity. For each piece of artwork posted on social media with the #bbcon hashtag and @ICAF.org, we will be making a donation to the International Child Art Foundation and its important work in supporting children in times of crisis.
