August Monthly Challenge:
The Blackbaud Community is a valuable resource for peer-to-peer support and best practice sharing, but did you know we like to have fun too?
The Tap: Just for Fun is loaded with ice breaker type questions to help us get to know one another outside a product. Our newly minted cohort of Blackbaud Community All-Stars are providing a new Just for Fun question EVERY DAY in August.
Here are two they've already provided:
What is your favorite thing to do on your day off?
What is your nonprofit origin story?
For the entire month, if you answer a Just for Fun question, you’ll receive this unique badge only available for August:
We look forward to getting to know you better!

Navigating Data Privacy Laws:
Data privacy laws are ever changing and Blackbaud wants to help you prepare to successfully navigate the requirements. The topic of securing personal data is always top of mind! Check out this two-minute read from The Engage Blog, Privacy Laws are Changing: Make Sure your Nonprofit is Ready.
Microsoft Power Platform Regional Workshops:
We are looking ahead to a couple of in-person workshops coming up soon for Power Platform users in Toronto, Canada and Silicon Valley, California. Join Blackbaud and Microsoft experts to learn about the powerful possibilities open to you through low-code app development.
If you live in or near these areas, you may want to plan to take advantage of these opportunities for hands-on workshops with personal coaching from experts as you build your own app, connect it to Blackbaud data, and deploy it into your solution to automate a key nonprofit business process! Happy Birthday to our Leos and Virgos!
It’s time to celebrate our August birthdays in Community. If you have a birthday in August, let us know in the comments below, so we can wish you a very happy birthday!
I have an August birthday – 8/8 … and I think I'll be celebrating in 114 degrees ?
If you live nearby, I highly recommend taking part in one of those Power platform workshops. You will learn so much and have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers right away!
My birthday is the 8th. Cool fact - I was born on my mom's birthday, who was born just 3 days before her mom. ?
I'm the 8th, too, Dana. My great-grandmother's birthday was the 7th, and my mom was really trying for that, but I came 3 hours too late. It did mean that I got to celebrate my 33rd birthday on 8/8/08, when I called it my "full house: birthday!
My birthday is the day before my moms. I remember when I was young thinking that was the coolest thing!
Yessss Dana!!! That's pretty cool!!! Happy Birthday and wishing you a wonderful and exciting birthday!!!
My birthday is Sunday! I'm a Leo (as if it wasn't obvious). ?
Happy Birthday Elizabeth! Wishing you Super Fantastic Day!!
