Tell us about your family (fur babies count!) "I have a beautiful wife and two daughters (7 and 5)...plus a nine-year-old pup."

Where do you live? "London."

What do you like to do for fun? "Play hockey, time with the kids and family, read and camp."

What’s a life achievement you are particularly proud of? "In chronological order: the day I received my professional accounting designation, the day I got married, and the days my children were born."

What’s one memory that always makes you smile? "Thinking about my 5-year-old daughter running a km alongside Theresa Carriere (a cancer survivor) and raising money for the ONERUN initiative (a 100 km run in one day by one lady.)" (Picture below)

Tell us about your organization: "Fanshawe College and Fanshawe College Foundation. We are a post-secondary institution that educates, engages, empowers, and excites in everything we do. The Foundation raises money and awareness for the College to assist with capital infrastructure and student awards programs."

What’s a typical day like for you? "Get up, chase kids around the house, get them to school or camp then head to work. Get home, chase kids around the house until bedtime then sit down and relax. Repeat."

What’s the best part of your job? "Working with my team
to see the fruits of labour in the way of capital projects being funded or the smiles on students' faces when they receive financial assistance/rewards."
What advice would you give someone starting out in the non-profit field? "It's a very rewarding industry."

What do you love about the Blackbaud Community? "It's an area where you can discover you are not alone. Everyone is there to help on another."
Finally, if you had 24 hours before the asteroid hit, what would you spend your time doing? "I can think of hundreds of funny and sarcastic remarks for these questions, but honestly, if i had 24 hours left, I would spend it with my wife and kids in my arms... maybe even the dog too."
