Tell us about your family (fur babies count!) "The Mrs. and I have three kiddos. One that if fresh out of the oven and 7 weeks old. Our little girl turns four this month and our little guy is two and a half. It is amazing to watch them grow and see all the activities they join!"

Where do you live? "Just outside of Chicago."

What do you like to do for fun? "We like to travel and hang out with family and friends. We are looking forward to all the fun holiday parties/events coming up in the next few months. And fixing things around the house."

What’s a life achievement you are particularly proud of? "I would say having children. I always wanted a family and it has been everything I hoped it could be."

What’s one memory that always makes you smile? "Wow, tough one! There are soooo many. This time I will pick the birth of my first daughter."

What is one interesting fact about yourself most people don't know? "That I applied to work in Australia and was this/close to going."

What are three things on your bucket list? "Skydive, Visit the Pyramids, Own a 1969 Gray with red interior Corvette Stingray."

Tell us about your organization: "Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital, provides superior pediatric care in a setting that offers the latest benefits and innovations in medical technology, research and family-friendly design.

As the largest pediatric provider in the region with a 130-year legacy of excellence, kids and their families are at the center of all we do. Learn more about our family-centered approach to care.

Lurie Children’s relies on philanthropic funding to enhance its programs and services for children and families. Founded in 1987, the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with fundraising professionals who work with 11 affiliated organizations and an active team of volunteers to cultivate and secure contributions that advance the mission of the hospital."

What’s a typical day like for you? "I start my day going through all the e-mail boxes I manage to make sure all questions are being answered and forwarded accordingly. Then I get into coding e-mails, API donation forms and event websites. I also do some data clean up and project manage our queue to make sure everything gets out the door when it is supposed to."

What’s the best part of your job? "Delivering a project on-time that meets my stakeholders need(s)."
What advice would you give someone starting out in the non-profit field? "I came from the for-profit world, so it was a bit of a change, but I would say. Get Involved as much as you can. When I started at the Foundation I volunteered for every event I could. It helped to learn more about what we do and to meet everyone in a non-workplace setting. Volunteering has gotten harder as the workload and family obligations have increased, but I do try to volunteer for 2-4 things a year."

What do you love about the Blackbaud Community? "The Blackbaud Community has grown sooooo much since I started. It used to be a forgotten space, but now you can actually get relevant answers and support from your peers. I try to visit it at least once a day and sometimes more. I have found many solutions to problems/issues I was having and it is a great resource."
Finally.. if you had a theme song when you walked into a room, what would it be? "'Good Feelin' by Flo Rida. Because you do get a good feelin' when you delivery something that rocks. And you need some tunes that can make you move when sitting in cube-land."
