Tell us about your family (fur babies count!) "My husband Mike and I are new empty nesters.  My 22 year old daughter has moved from home and my son is in college in Boston."

Where do you live? "New Hampshire."

What do you like to do for fun? "My favorite thing to do is watch my kids play sports.  We also host friends for game nights, go to the movies, or check out local events such as theatre or live music.  On summer weekends, we're at our camper on a beautiful pond."

What’s a life achievement you are particularly proud of? "In 2005, I earned a black belt in Parker Kenpo."

What’s one memory that always makes you smile? "Winning a scholarship to my first bbcon!  I was so excited to finally have the chance to attend."

What is one interesting fact about yourself most people don't know? "My college degree is in Criminal Justice and my career started in Juvenile Justice.  I never planned to work in non-profit, but I wouldn't have it any other way."

What are three things on your bucket list? "Traveling to Italy to meet my husband's cousins, visiting Paris, and standing on the cliffs in Ireland."
Tell us about your organization "Saint Anselm is a Catholic, Benedictine College providing all its students a distinctive liberal arts education that incorporates opportunities for professional and career preparation. It does so in a learning community that encourages the lifelong pursuit of the truth and fosters intellectual, moral and spiritual growth to sustain and enrich its graduates' personal lives, work, and engagement within local, national, and global communities."

What’s a typical day like for you? "Are there typical days for database managers???  Besides list pulls, reports and database maintenance, I often hold 1:1 or small group Raiser's Edge/NetCommunity trainings for my coworkers."

What’s the best part of your job? "When I was a student at Saint Anselm College, I received scholarships donated by alumni and corporations.  Now I support gift officers who fundraise for scholarships for today's students.  I'm honored to assist others in receiving the same excellent education as I was afforded."

What advice would you give someone starting out in the non-profit field? "If you are working with a Blackbaud product, find a local user group.  As the leader of the independent NH Users' Group, I learn something new every meeting and I've been in Raiser's Edge for 14 years.  I find the very best resources are people already working in non-profits.  Talk to others who do the same type of work, but also talk to people in other roles.  You'll then understand the whole fundraising cycle."

What do you love about the Blackbaud Community? "People helping people.  Everyone is kind and supportive.  Whether you're new or seasoned, there are great solutions found in the forums."
Finally, if you were a sandwich, what kind of sandwich would you be? "Good ol' peanut butter and jelly.  I'm down to earth and dependable.  Nothing fancy here!"
