Viewing Stored Passwords for Blackbaud Hosting Services

Published
Have you ever needed to change your Blackbaud Hosting Services password, but when prompted realize you do not have the “old password” because it was stored in your browser? Some browsers actually offer the ability to view these saved passwords within their settings.

Users in Firefox can view this previously-saved password using the below steps:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Click the Open Menu button (typically displayed as 3 horizontal bars near the upper right)
  3. Click Options
  4. Click the Security button
  5. Click Saved Passwords
  6. Find the Blackbaud Hosting Services URL in the list of saved passwords
  7. Click to highlight the URL
  8. Click the Show Password button
  9. Click Yes when asked to Confirm
  10. View password in the "Password" column

This gives you the Blackbaud Hosting Services password stored in Firefox, and allows you to change your password!

More information on other browsers can be found in the Knowledgebase Solution, How to determine saved passwords for Blackbaud Hosting Services.
