Edge Product Updates

As part of our commitment to our hosted customers, the Blackbaud Hosting Services team performs product version and patch updates during our regular maintenance windows. Notifications of scheduled updates come from our communications team. If you are not receiving the communications, please see our previous post, How to receive communications from Blackbaud Hosting Services.

The Raiser’s Edge 7.92 was updated to Patch 8 during the regular maintenance window on Sunday, March 3, 2013. This patch included all the fixes within Patch 7, released on February 20, as well as a printing fix for the hosted environment. For information on the changes implemented in patch 7, please review the patch readme.

The Financial Edge and The Education Edge will be updated to version 7.84, Patch 3 at the end of this month – currently scheduled for the regular maintenance window on Sunday, March 24, 2013. This will also contain a printing fix similar to the fix included in The Raiser’s Edge patch. The patch readme will be updated to include patch 3 one business day after its release and can be found on the corresponding product downloads page.

We also plan to re-enable the local disk mapping feature in the Boston datacenter around the time of the EE/FE patch later this month, pending successful testing.
