Critical MS Patching Maintains Security and PCI Compliance

Published
Have you noticed Maintenance Notification emails describing Critical MS Patching?  Each month, Microsoft releases new server security patches. Based on industry standards, we have a small time frame to deploy these patches in order to maintain security and PCI compliance.

Each organization will be affected by at least one maintenance window to install the patches on the database server. Organizations with web products will also be affected by the maintenance windows for the web servers.  We only expect brief downtime during the database server update.  This is a valuable and resource-intensive practice that is a major benefit of hosting your data with Blackbaud.  Just imagine how much of your IT team’s time is freed up to help you in other aspects of achieving your mission!

To make sure all of the appropriate users at your organization are aware of when these updates are being installed, make sure to review our post, How to Receive Communications from Blackbaud Hosting Services.

If you have any questions, please create a case on Case Central, choose your product, and select the Blackbaud Application Hosting topic code or contact our Hosting Support team using the chat feature.
