Social Recap: Bbcon Day #1

Published
Did you feel the energy coming from Baltimore yesterday? Yesterday was a HUGE day as bbcon 2017 officially kicked off!

As an added bonus, I invited two previous Robert C. Hernandez winners, Sunshine Watson and Amy Dana, to share their favorite social media moments with the Community.

First though, let’s talk about that morning main stage session:

To start the day, we heard a beautiful spoken word piece by Michah Bournes:

Next, we heard from Mary Beth Westmoreland and Catherine LaCour for the Innovation AMA on the mainstage. If you all couldn’t tell by the tweets, they are inspiring to every woman watching:

After that, we heard from the ALS Association and their powerful story around the now famous #IceBucketChallenge.

To wrap up the morning, we heard from Mike Gianoni and Amy Lucia:

Now let's see what caught Sunshine's eye yesterday:

“Thank you, Blackbaud Community super heroes, for spreading the love! What a great idea!”

I echo the sentiments that Michah Bournes' opening was spectacularly powerful.  Any chance that it was recorded or written so that we can share it?  I have looked on his website and did not find it there.
Elizabeth has been rocking the tweets!
