Salesforce Spring 2020 Release Bug: Batch Close Date 6494

Salesforce Spring 2020 Release Bug: Batch Close Date

Published
Salesforce is releasing the Spring 2020 release over the course of the next few weeks.  As a result, temporarily, you may not be able to enter a date into the close date in the Lightening version of batch.

Blackbaud is working on a fix to allow the Lightning version of the batch close date to function as it did prior to the Salesforce Spring 2020 release.  Until then, If you experience this behavior, the following actions can be taken to complete your batch work:

  1. In Lightning, populate any date fields using the “Autofill defaults” option. If you enter the close date as the Autofill value, it will correctly populate in the batch items for that batch.  Batching by close date could help facilitate this approach.
  2. In Classic view, the date functions as expected and no changes to your entry steps are needed.   Switch from Lightning to Classic view to enter the close date.

Please note, Blackbaud is working to apply a fix as quickly as possible and as a result, you may not experience this close date issue.   This blog will be updated once the fix has been applied.
