Changes to the Event API (Beta)

The Event API (Beta) was updated on 6/8/2020. We added new post, patch, and delete Participation levels endpoints. We also updated the Get Participation levels endpoint to no longer accept the limit or offset parameters. See our Changelog entries for more information.

Thanks Steven Cinquegrana. I passed your feedback along to the team for consideration and the group agreed that even though this API is in BETA, we should have provided better indication that this change was breaking.

Our BETA program allows us to be more aggressive with breaking changes since it's not intended for "primetime" use. Although this endpoint no longer respects the limit/offset parameters, any requests made using them will continue to succeed. Hopefully this type of change won’t significantly impact any of our current consumers.

Please, please flag breaking changes! I know it's a beta, but there are users out there whose code could stop working due to the deletion of two call parameters. Better practice would be to 1) provide notice of the breaking change, 2) deprecate the changed parameters and, finally, 3) delete them.
