Calling All Gods & Goddesses Of Data
Published
ResearchPoint passionate? Not yet or completely? ResearchPoint can be summed up simply as an electronic phone book (yes I know I am dating myself) full of prospect information!
Does anyone out there, oh I know you are there, remember trekking to the local or university library to conduct prospect research? Yes, I still am a public library advocate, but not when it comes to daily prospect research.
Just dive in and screen individually or import data in large batches. The results, amazing and can be used in so many different ways. Ah, and the beauty of having all this data electronically, not in enormous paper files. How times have changed, thankfully!
Keep in mind, the BB team is always available to support you with any technical encounters you might have with RP, it happens to all of us. Their team is always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to work through all issues. And, when a user believes feature is "missing" from the system, the Idea Bank is a great forum to post your request for new features. I have seen these ideas come to be working features in RP, like the almighty Merge Constituent functionality....a big thumbs up for that happening this year!
The new community feature has been a great resource for learning how to better use RP or post questions and get answers from other users. Those who are deep in the data in RP are always out there and sharing how to best query data. I have a crazy passion for Research Lists and using those to the advantage of each individual fundraiser. However, there is so much functionality and capability, I could write all day about all the projects and different ways I have used RP to support our fundraisers. I'd be happy to share ideas if anyone wants to message me in the community.
Keep screening, confirming, rejecting, making idea requests and staying active in the community. I eat, breath and sleep RP and would find it invigorating to connect with those who share my passion for data, research, technology and databases, I know you are out there! Where are the gods and goddesses of data/research/databases/ technology hiding?

I would love to learn more about RP from you! We just uploaded our first batch and I'm trying to navigate through the data. The rating is not complete yet and the information has not been moved to NXT so I'm not sure how I can get the information to the DOD's using the system. I have only been a prospect researcher for 3 weeks and I'm alone in my position so I would appreciate any help you can give me:)
