Blackbaud Certification: A Ninja’s Katana of Destiny

“We are restructuring the organization.” My CEO held out until the very end, but ultimately had to eliminate my position. 



While the executives gave me glowing recommendations, I looked for the nearest cave. Then I remembered my fellow Blackbaud ninja community and our ever faithful, always wise Sansei, Moo Shoo the Manatee, our fearless maritime Miyagi. 



Channeling our collective spirit, I turned my gaze from the cave to our dojo - the Blackbaud training portal. 

When faced with adversity ninjas don’t just reach for the stars, we throw them. I hopped online and got to work on my certifications in Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge & Luminate Online. 

“Wax on, wax off,” I chuckled to myself. 

Ninjas are stealth, but our skills do not go unnoticed. Our certifications serve as our katanas of destiny, slicing through the chaos and settling the jungles of database management. 



I can use these certifications as keywords to search for future journeys ahead on indeed.com or glassdoor.com. I can rest assured that my Blackbaud experience is neither myth nor legend, but quantifiable achievements for all to see, because as all good Blackbaud ninjas know... we don’t just throw stars, we are stars.
