Have you ever looked for ways you can be more efficient throughout your day? By using keyboard shortcuts instead of your mouse, you can save a few seconds. Now, you might be thinking to yourself, how can a few seconds help me? Let’s do some math.
Say you save 3 seconds using a keyboard shortcut instead of your mouse and, on average, you use 20 keyboard shortcuts a day. You would save 1 minute per day, 5 minutes per week, 20 minutes per month, and 4 hours a year! Imagine what you could do with all that extra time!
Here are a few of my favorite keyboard short cuts:
Alt [Underlined Letter on Tab Name] = Switches between tabs on a Record
Ctrl L = Save and Close a Record
Shift F2 = Load Default Values
F5 = Reruns Results in Query
F7 = Lookups in Table Fields / Launches Search Windows from Link Fields / Imports Credit Card information from Constituent Record into Batch
F8 = Launches AddressAccelerator in Address Fields / Toggles between Constituent Window and Data Entry Grid in Batch
Feel free to share your favorite keyboard shortcuts in the comments below. I have also attached two documents you can use for reference of more keyboard shortcuts.

Adding a date in a date field by just typing the day instead of the whole month/day/year. Only works for the current month.
I love keyboard shortcuts and less time messing with the mouse! Thank you!
These are fantastic!
Be aware that NXT does not allow keyboard shortcuts. Not even the easy RE7 date entry (i.e. type "12" and get "9/12/2018"; RE fills in the current month and year for you) and does, unfortunately, require typing "/" in dates (i.e. you must type "9/7/2018" instead of "090718").
