Become An Efficiency Aficionado

2c454cb7f12fd75a2c9c5979fc831f9a-huge-ofIn both my personal and professional lives, I am an efficiency aficionado. So when I accidently dropped and broke my slow cooker, I was on the hunt to find another tool to help me quickly put together dinner for my family. Several of my friends have shared their love of pressure cookers, but I was hesitant. I knew how to use a slow cooker but had never used a pressure cooker and didn’t want to have to learn something new just so I could efficiently feed my family… having to do so would just add more pressure to my already hectic life.

But when I learned that I could throw dry beans into a pressure cooker and have them cooked in under an hour, I was sold. (Efficiency.) And because I always forget to thaw ahead of time, finding out that I could still cook a frozen roast in record time made the decision even easier. (Efficiency.)

How many times do we do the same thing over and over and not look for a better way because we are far too busy? There is just too much pressure from pressing deadlines and overwhelming to-do lists. Plus, maybe you want to try something new, but aren’t sure which idea to try, or how to actually use and apply new ideas at your organization.

I like the Organizational Best Practices.
I love that ORG best practices are being included in all the training packages now. So helpful!
Thank you so much - we have been viewing the OBP curriculum from afar since it began, and are so grateful to have access to this valuable resource.
Yes, yes and yes! Major giving and donor retention are a must.
As a newbie to fund-raising (2 years on the Development Team, but nearly 18 years with the organization), I am so thrilled to see Organizational Best Practices added to the Learn More curriculum!
The higher education session would work for us!
The faith session sounds interesting!
