Wedding Season

As much as I’m loving the opportunity to celebrate such an important and exciting milestone with people who are so dear to me, my bank account is definitely taking a hit. Of course, as the brides and grooms I’m celebrating are quick to tell me, planning a wedding is not exactly cheap, either. It’s safe to say we’re all trying to be a little more budget conscious.

Your organization may not be planning a wedding—although I’ve seen many churches, museums, and historical houses transformed into gorgeous wedding venues—but every organization hosts events, and those events can get expensive.

Wedding season is officially here - and I feel it just the same!
We work to save money on events by vetting with multiple vendors and ensuring our sponsorships cover all the event expenses. Budgets are essential and we stick to it!

We had a SUPER successful event (dinner) held at one of our physician's homes this past month. Lapsed and new donors came out of the woodwork to support our cause (expanding our child & adolescent psychiatric inpatient clinic/services). Amazing what marketing, word-of-mouth, and fantastic connections can do for a cause! We actually saved money on the event by getting sponsors early on and also hiring an event planner for day-of operations... sounds like it's more expensive, but it allowed our fundraisers to do what they do best - raise money! totally worth it.
