New Year, New Workshops

Since we call New York City home, our options can seem overwhelming. How do we decide where to go? It depends on what programs are available and whether we have a membership.

Programs pique people’s interest, get them through the door, and—most crucially— keep them coming back for more. Memberships can build lifelong relationships with supporters, even extending across generations. Have you ever joined an organization because your parents or other family were also members?

January is a great time for arts and cultural organizations to develop action plans for programs and memberships that engage and delight. We come back from the holidays refreshed and are eager to use our newfound energy to make resolutions. But these resolutions come with many new time commitments, so you need to be strategic about where and how to spend your resources.

Blackbaud University can help you start the year off right with two new 90-minute Organizational Best Practices workshops specifically for arts and cultural organizations: Arts and Cultural – Memberships and Arts and Cultural – Programs. In these interactive workshops, network with peers and share ideas for facing and overcoming challenges. Most importantly, develop a solid action plan for programs and memberships—so you can start seeing results immediately.

Hi Bob Devine‍! Yes, they absolutely would be pertinent for Art Education organizations that have programs and/or offer memberships. Let me know if there are any other questions I can answer.
