Raiser's Edge 7.95 Patch 2

Published

Patch 1 has been applied to all hosted datacenters and we are moving forward with Patch 2. Patch 2 contains product and security enhancements. Once Patch 2 is released, locally installed customers on 7.95.6283 will upgrade directly from patch 0 to patch 2.

During deployment of Patch 1, we discovered a server-side prerequisite for a specific version of .NET Framework. If not installed, this may have caused disruptions with payment processing through the Raiser’s Edge. While we were able to ensure compliance with this prerequisite in all of our hosted data centers without issue, we did not feel comfortable releasing a patch to our locally installed customers with such an environmental prerequisite at this time. Instead, we made a reactive change in Patch 2 that effectively eliminates the need for that prerequisite (.NET Framework 4.6 or higher) for the time being*.

We are wrapping up with Patch 2 and plan to begin rolling it out soon. Updates on timeline and content will be posted here on our release blog. Stay tuned!

*Note: While Patch 2 will not require locally installed customers running currently unsupported versions of .NET Framework to upgrade, we highly encourage clients to perform this upgrade on all servers and workstations as soon as possible in response to recent recommendations from the PCI Standards Council.

Did Patch 2 resolve the issue that people were having with Crystal Reports? We have many users that depend on them and want to hold off on upgrading until that is resolved. Thanks!
