Yin and Yang

My husband and I have a lot in common. However, for every one thing we have in common there are two things that are just the complete opposite! He is very outgoing, and I am very cautious. He is a technophobe, and I am a techie. He is spontaneous, and I am a planner. Over the years, I’ve found that being opposites really works for us and has some advantages. He inspires me to lighten up, experience new things and get off the computer and into nature. And because of me we are always on time, get the best travel deals, and have an Amazon Alexa!

Being a planner, I’ve learned that organization, prioritization, and timeliness are key. If you’re tasked with planning events at your organization, the best advice I can give you is plan to use Raiser’s Edge. Raiser’s Edge does the planning for you by storing all your event information in one place using event records. This enables you to easily track detailed information about your event, tasks, budget and expenses, and attendees.

Planning is the key to success—and so is learning from your mistakes. Raiser’s Edge event reports and dashboards allow you to analyze the statistics of your event year-over-year or compare different events throughout the year. This allows you to pinpoint your successes and identify areas for improvement.

When it comes to your important fundraising events, don’t wing it. Watch our revamped eLearning course Raiser’s Edge: Basics of Events and learn about the tools you need to plan, create, and manage a successful event.
