RE Saving Time With Favorites

Published

My favorite timesaver is to use Raiser’s Edge favorites.
As a Data Analyst, I run many queries and reports at the end of every month.
How can I keep these organized? Add them as Favorites to my home page.
Any query, export, or report can be added as a Favorite.
Simply open the query, export, or report and select Favorites from the top menu, then Add to Favorites.d0a54779c71aecd954e87ca114a473e8-huge-ne

You then have several actions, such as Preview, Open, or Print.
You can set up new folders to save your Favorites in, such as “Monthly”. Simply click the New folders button to add a new one.

My other favorite is to save Favorite fields in query.  Do you find there are certain fields in query you use frequently in the criteria or output, such as ID or Sort Key?
Just right click on the field and select Add to Favorite Fields.  This will give you a category of Favorite fields that you can select quickly, instead of searching for them every time.
Note that the favorites will need to be set up for each query type, such as Constituent or Gift.

By setting up favorites, you will be saving time in no time!

Thanks! Great info, Marie!
I knew about the favorites within the queries, but didn't know about marking the query as a favorite. Nice! Thanks Marie Stark‍!
