Why Should You Be Part Of The Blackbaud Community?

I joined the Blackbaud Community because my account manager told me about it, thinking it could be of use in helping to solve one problem I was having with Raiser’s Edge and how to pull out some data. It has turned out to be one of the best moves I’ve ever made!
The ability to tap into the hive mind and “poll the audience” has been so great for so many reasons. Being able to troubleshoot something with like minded people when something doesn’t go the way the expect it in my software, being able to ask what other people do in a situation that is new to me, and merely being able to see what else has been asked… all of these are why the Community is great to hang out in.
It also offers many opportunities to interact with Blackbaud, and each other, in new and different ways. The Idea Banks and Early Adopter programs allow us end users to influence our world we live and work in. We preview the new features and help make them ready for global use.
Being able to connect with others who are in my same role, work nearby, and/or have the same interests I do has been the best thing about the Community. We can’t live in a world with no connections! Being around people who think like I do about data has allowed me to find my tribe.
I wish I had discovered the Community sooner!
