What's New (April 21)

We're happy to announce some highly anticipated features -- including emailing chaperones!

Enjoy!

Classes
Improvements to classes -- To help you quickly access and manage class information, a new layout appears under EventsClasses. The updated view reorganizes and consolidates existing tiles and includes a new class record for managing class meetings and participants. Previously, you managed classes from event records.

  • Classes – Under Classes, you can view quick details about all your classes including the schedule and number of participants. From this list, you can open a class to view more details. For more information, see Class Management.

From the new class record, you can view the class's complete schedule and take attendance or print the checked-in class roster for a class meeting. You can also view a list of all class participants and drill into their constituent records. For more information, see Class Records.

  • Attendance – Under Attendance, you can view attendance details for classes currently in progress or for a specific time period in the past. You can also drill into a specific class to view additional details about its time and location or about individuals who checked in. For more information, see Class Attendance.

  • Configuration – Under Configuration, you can set up class rosters and check-in stations, and run the grade level promotion process. For more information, see Classes Configuration.

Email class participants and chaperones -- To communicate with class participants, such as a heads-up about a location change, you can now email them. For younger participants, you can email their chaperones.

From EventsClasses, under Classes, select the name of the class to open its record.

  • To email class participants, select Email classParticipants.

  • To email the chaperones of class participants, select Email classChaperones..

For more information, see Class Records.

Constituents
Now as you enter information from visitor reply cards, you can quickly enter when people first visited on their constituent records. From the Directory, select Add family or one adult and then enter the date under Date of first visit. Also, when you select a membership status, you can now enter its effective date. If you track first time visitor as a membership status, make sure to select the same date in both fields.

Note: To speed data entry, the date of first visit and membership information automatically apply to additional adults and children in a family.

Note: When you add a family for check-in from a staffed station, the effective date and date of first visit are automatically set to the current date.

For more information, see Add a Family.

Events
To help you quickly see all your church’s weekly events, such as worship services and classes, you can now switch the calendar in Events to a week view. Previously, the calendar was only available as day and month views.

Thanks for the note Chris Dickey‍ . We have worked to redesign the Family Add as a form that allows tabbing. As you know, the page experience it's in now doesn't allowing tabbing but does allow the arrow keys if you need to do that in the meantime. Now that the design is finished, we should be able to have this out in one of the next few releases.
Thank you for the new features.

Just one thing on the Add a Family, the tab key still isn't working to get from one field to the next. You have to click the field with a mouse which slows things . If you hit the tab key, it forces you to the bottom of the form and not to the next field.
