Divvy

Does anyone out there use Divvy for their credit cards/expense management? We're fed up with credit card feeds never working correctly and looking to make a switch. I was hoping to find someone that could share their experience.

  • @Tricia Fourman yes, we use Divvy. The Credit Card Software and Support for Divvy is incredible. However, we do not use the Credit Card Module in FE NXT because we weren't impressed with the features there and how it showed up. We export the transactions into a CSV and then import it as a journal entry in the general ledger. It takes about 30 minutes - we have about 30-40 people on credit cards.

  • @Tricia Fourman we are looking at credit card software and wondering if you did go with Divvy and if you like it? Do you have access to the receipts are just the transactions when they are posted to the General ledger? Thanks!

We have been considering Divvy but also heard Ramp might also be an option. Has anyone used or reviewed this as a possibility? Also those who use Divvy, are you using it for reimbursements?

  • @Dawn Mohatt everything from Divvy is entered through a journal entry so we do lose the receipts and the ability to pull info via Vendor. However, all of that info is easily accessed in Divvy so it has not caused any issues for us so far. We LOVE Divvy! While it is a little more work for our finance team, our card holder experience has been exponentially improved.

We did not look at Ramp, but we have been incredibly happy with Divvy! We ended up issuing a card to every staff member to drastically reduce the number of reimbursements we need to issue. We do not use Divvy for reimbursements as we have had a lot of success with the invoice request process in NXT.

@Tricia Fourman, @Dawn Mohatt, and @Cindy Eidem. I'm doing some research on E-payments and would love to learn more about your payment processes and how Divvy and Ramp have been good options for you. If you are interested in talking please use the link below.

Hi Tricia - How is your experience with Divvy? We are considering switching our credit cards to them. One question - when you select the General Ledger expense account, are you also able to select a project? I am not sure if Divvy has that level of detail. Any pros / cons with using Divvy that you have experienced? Thanks!

  • @Amanda Heiser we love Divvy! Yes, you are able to require project codes for specific subsets of accounts or even all accounts. Divvy is able to customize quite a bit to however you have set up your chart of accounts. Two cons that I can think of: 1. We no longer have expenses by Vendor in FE for credit card purchases since it is all being captured through journal entries. That info is available in Divvy, but it just adds an extra step if we need that layer in our reporting.
    2. Expense adjustments for credit cards can only be made through creating an additional journal entry. For us, the pros from the card holder side in ease of use and reconciliation far outweigh the small bit of additional work for our finance team.
