Orah to BBEM Integration Issues

Does anyone have Orah and use the out of the box integrations between Orah and BBEM? In October and now in November, our data from Orah to BBEM has stopped syncing for passes. This happened on 10/8 and 11/8. Last time, I was able to resolve it by reauthenticating the sync with our service account. However, this time, it's still broken. We have a ticket open with both Orah and BBEM, and now we are on day 6 of nothing being resolved. Any guidance someone can provide would be great. Here are the roles configured with the account in BBEM that is used to authenticate the sync between the two systems.

Hi @Lindsey Bryant , looking at the current setup it looks like the integration app is currently authorized with your account and not the service account, however, in any case I have verified your user has the access needed for attendance endpoints and I do not see any issue. The error mentioned in your ticket doesn't look like one of ours though so I am unsure of the actual problem. You could always test the endpoints with the user access by using the Try It feature listed on the endpoint documentation to ensure the access of the user is returning the intended response.

This may be a good one to try.

  • @Todd DeSchuiteneer thanks for the response. We've notified Orah the first time it happened in October and then again last week. They mentioned they have a solution and now it's working, so we're waiting to hear more details on how they fixed it and hopefully it doesn't happen again on December 8.

On a separate note, I can't see which account is used for authorization. At one point I tried my account, and then switched it back to the service account. It's one of our frustrations with this integration, is that we can't see which APIs are being used, how to determine which account is used, or how to troubleshoot it. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow. None the less, I appreciate your response as always!

  • @Lindsey Bryant FYI: Orah told me that when you re-authorize the Blackbaud connection, you may lose the pass mapping in integration settings. This may be what happened in your case

  • @Art Bryman thanks for the follow up. They finally got it working though we don't know what the cause of the issue is or how it was resolved. We are still waiting on Orah to respond back. Fingers crossed we will hear something soon.
