Development Coordinator at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska (Seattle)

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska supports seriously ill children and their families by providing housing in Seattle and Anchorage when they have to be far from home for extensive medical treatment. We are looking for a data champion -- someone who is proficient using databases and passionate about the role of tracking and acknowledging donations in the fundraising process. Responsibilities of the Database Coordinator position include:

  • Process & code all gifts and generate gift acknowledgements
  • Track all donor-related information in the database
  • Create queries and process donor-based reports
  • Become and expert using Raiser’s Edge and train staff to use as needed and act as a general resource for others in respect to the database
  • Responsible for periodic database clean-up and planning/implementing processes for improved information gathering
  • Act as main contact for Blackbaud, our database software company
  • Manage employee giving program, including overseeing all corporate matching and the opportunity to speak at events
  • Act as a liaison with RMHC finance department, reconciling databases monthly and working on the annual audit

Growth Areas include:

  • Prospect research and other data driven work to help us expand our fundraising efforts
  • Grant writing
  • Learning about aspects of fundraising

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Comfort interacting with donors at all levels
  • Ability to manage detail and large amount of data work
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • College degree preferred
