Generative AI Acknowledgements Coming to Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT®

Fundraising relies heavily on stewardship to maintain donor support; it’s essential and yet time-consuming work. Artificial intelligence can help alleviate some tasks like generating and personalizing some donor acknowledgment emails. We’re releasing Generative AI Acknowledgement capabilities for Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT® to give a first experience of this cutting edge technology.

We expect this new feature to be available to all United States organizations by April 23, 2024, with general availability to all regions later this year.

Use Raiser’s Edge NXT Generative AI Acknowledgments to simplify the process of creating, personalizing, and sending individual acknowledgment emails to constituents for special contributions. You retain the power to revise and personalize each individual message. This upcoming feature empowers you to:

• Generate and send a single acknowledgment email that will be saved to the constituent's gift record.
• Personalize the email, auto filling the recipient’s address, salutations, donor, and gift information.
• Customize the signature, including images.
• Specify the content/verbiage to be included in the message.
• Specify the tone of the message (formal, informal, or fun).
• Access a copy of the email sent to the donor.
• Segment acknowledgments based on their origin within your organization.

Security

Access to AI Acknowledgements is regulated by the Raiser’s Edge NXT security role. Administrators must be granted explicit permissions to view, create, and send AI acknowledgments to donors. The new AI profiles separate the create / view function from view / send to afford more fine-grained control over use of this feature.
