Nonprofit Database Analytics Specialist
Capital Development Services (CapDev), a leading nonprofit consulting firm serving clients in the southeastern U.S., is seeking a data analytics specialist for a part-time contract position. CapDev provides experienced counsel to assist nonprofit clients with feasibility studies, development assessments, capital campaign planning and implementation, and executive searches. Data analytics is an important component of our firm’s client service model.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Serve as the company’s data analytics expert, proactively learning about the latest trends in data analytics and sharing them with CapDev and our nonprofit clients
  • Build a data analytics road map tailored to specific nonprofit clients’ needs that staff and CapDev will use to help clients achieve their fundraising objectives
  • Work with clients to help nonprofit staff and CapDev assess the health of their donor database, create key reports, counsel nonprofit clients on best practices for analyzing their own data and develop strategies to capitalize on findings
  • Document all findings and provide targeted recommendations that will be part of an overall fundraising assessment
  • Respond to requests from CapDev inquiries as necessary and in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Experience performing data analytics for nonprofits
  • Ability to work inside or outside normal business hours
  • Work from personal home office
  • Provide own computer and Internet access
  • Professionalism in working effectively with diverse constituencies
  • Act in a lawful, ethical, and professional manner in carrying out the duties of this position and in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Other Essential Skills and Requirements:
  • Broad knowledge of CRM databases, database protocol, creating reports, and data evaluation
  • Understanding of data reporting possibilities and aptitude for data analytics
  • High degree of organization
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude for learning different software. Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and also interact effectively with CapDev and client staff
Job Type: Part-time Contract Position, 8-24 hours a month, no travel required
