The Development Department oversees and guides the fundraising efforts of the entire agency and we engage with staff throughout Catholic Charities in accomplishing their goals.

We are recruiting a Gift Registrar who will be responsible for ensuring the processing of over 15,000 gifts per fiscal year on behalf of Catholic Charities.  This position acts as an expert on gift acceptance processing, industry and professional standards, and related agency policy and procedure.   He or she will assist in the development and implementation of proper internal procedures using industry best practices.  The incumbent will also interpret and ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures. 

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.  Knowledge of The Raiser’s Edge database a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of IRS charitable contribution regulations and CASE and NACUBO standards.
  • Working knowledge of accounting procedures used in fundraising and non-profit organizations
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Proficient budget management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability manage multiple projects and manage time efficiently.
  • Optimistic attitude and flexibility in a changing work environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workloads, multiple demands, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to support and work collaboratively with multiple team members, colleagues, and volunteers.
