warning - phishing email about login credentials

Hello!  I haven't been able to check out the Community in a while so if this has already been posted - sorry. 


I just got a phishing email from "Blackbaud Support" - return address had two dd's in blackbaud so that kind of tipped me off that it was fishy - saying my email credentials expired.


Heads up in case you see an email like this.  Posting here since it crosses platforms.

This could impact anyone with a Blackbaud ID, couldn't it?  Would it be prudent for Blackbaud to send out a bulletin to all clients? Is this something we should warn all of our constituents with Blackbaud ID's about (DonorCentral and staff, for example)?

Our Blackbaud Cyber Security team has been alerted and is reviewing the best next steps.  As soon as I hear from them, I will let you know their advice.


Please note, no one around me has received the same phishing attempt, which shows not everyone with a BBID is getting this email.  .

I'm SO sorry - I just found out this was a phishing 'test' from our internal IT department  ?

So while this was a simulated phishing test attempt by Joanne's IT department - and I repeat WAS JUST A TEST, this is a great reminder for each and every one of us to be vigilant and keep your eyes peeled for potential phishing. 


Please always alert Customer Support if you can and let us know what's happening.
