#GivingTuesdayNow

Hi all,

Happy Friday! It's the end of Working From Home Week #4 here at Jack & Jill. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and positive!

How many of you are planning to participate in #GivingTuesdayNow and what are your strategies, ideas, thoughts??  We decided Wednesday that it's a go and are just starting to put our plan together.

  • Hi Patti! Glad you are well. This is SUCH a great question and I think it will get a ton more responses in Best Practices, so I moved it on over. :-)

  • Hi Everyone,

We were already in the planning stages for that day because it was supposed to be our local giving day.  Now we are shifting gears to change our messaging to reflect our current situation and needs (teaching students remotely as we are a 9-10 high school) and also explaining that #GivingTuesday is not taking the place of GiveNOLA Day (which is always much bigger for us). GiveNOLA Day has been postponed until June 2nd.  We are putting messages on our websites, social media pages and sending a separate email to all constituents about this.  We are also mailing a postcard with this same information to any donor who has given in response to either appeal in the past.

Hope this helps and hope everyone is remaining safe and healthy!

    Sincerely,

  • We have decided to promote Giving Tuesday Now and ask our constituents to support their local farms. It is in keeping with our mission as a land trust that protects local farms and is not causing donor-fatigue by asking them to support us with another gift.
