Responsible for various accounting and payroll functions. Church experience preferred. Solid understanding of not-for-profit accounting required. Ideal candidate will efficiently and effectively perform in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • A/P, A/R, Payroll record keeping.
  • Complete monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assist outside accounting firm with year-end audit/review.
  • Maintain relationship with banks and monitor Church’s daily cash position.
  • Strong computer skills/programs including MS Office, Payroll system software, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT.
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, understand internal organizational interfaces and expectations.  Have a strong focused attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effectively interact in a Church environment.
Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of undergraduate degree in accounting or related field.  Relevant accounting and business experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Familiarity and/or working knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT preferred.
  • Degree in business administration or significant experience in a significant role in a Church environment would be favorable.
