Reviewing by Applicant vs Opportunity

For those of you who choose not to review by opportunity, what solutions and challenges have you run into? This is our first review cycle and we have departments with multiple awards who do not want to view an applicant more than one time, total. We have ~ 8 departments that want to review their own students as a group and most of their students qualify for multiple opportunities. From what I see in the Knowledgebase, you can award by applicant, but reviewing by applicant doesn't seem to be an option?

We have a committee that we have score on the general application level. In addition to our committee, we do have some donors who want to review the applicants who qualify for their awards. To accommodate them, we create a separate reviewer group and assign just their scholarship to the group. This could potentially be an option for you. It may not be the easiest, but you could create reviewer groups for your departments and then assign the opportunities that are related to those specific groups.

Hi Morgan, I want to make certain I understand what you are doing --- because I am thinking I need to do something similar.


You have a committee to review a large group of applicants. Then the donors reviewer a subset of the applications. Do you would also need to assign these applications to your donor group? Am I barking up the right tree?
