Speaking of polls.....
Hi y'all,
I participate in one of those online-point-earning-sites-where-you-redeem-for-rewards sites, and there's a daily poll on it. I thought today's poll quite amusing, as well as the way the responses leaned, so here's my funny to share with you all! What would your answer be?

Can't wait to see the answers to this one!! LOL
I'm always willing to help a friend, but a Python??? I dunno! Perhaps if it was guaranteed to be in an escape-proof cage/tank I would say yes.2 -
I would not! My uncle took care of a python once, but then he was a biologist.
He actually put a sign on his door that said something like "Warning! These premises are protected by a python. In case of emergency go to the nearest emergency room and request anti-venom."3 -
Acceptable pets to pet sit: Dogs, cats, birds, fish.
Unacceptable (to me): pythons, spiders, wild animals...

Nope, not me! I've handled tarantulas and even rescued my coworkers from a bat once -- and I can handle the occasional non-venomous rat snake or garter snake out in the garden ... but I draw the line at venomous pet snakes!3

?????????????????
All of the above and similar, a hearty YES.
????
All bugs and arachnids, NOPE3 -
Ohhhh, I'm clearly in the minority but I'm somewhere between Maybe and Probably! Like, if it's not roaming around freely I don't think I've got a problem with it in an enclosure.3

Like if I can just drop in the food, etc., without having to actually interact with it beyond eye contact, I'm in.

Sure. Years ago, we had a python. Also had boas. Both are constrictors and not venomous. Although I prefer a constrictors, I'd pet sit a python. They are a bit more unpredictable than a boa, though, so I can't say I would hold it. Boas, for the most part, act kind of like they are mellowed out on pot. Pythons are a bit more like they are on pot laced with a touch of PCP.4

Yes as long as (like others have said) interactions are at a minimum. Years ago I helped with a very small snake and everything went well. ?2

Some key info is missing in that poll question --- is this my very best friend? And how long will he/she be gone???
Still, I'm pretty sure I'd say nope, unless it's an overnight trip and I don't need to feed it any live animals!
