Development Data Administrator
Cuyahoga County Public Library (adp.com)
Under general direction, with alternating periods of relative autonomy and general review, processes all gifts to the Library and the Library's Foundation. Takes the respective action of entering the information in the Raiser's Edge database, sending gift acknowledgements and entering grants into the Library's finance system. Assists the Development team with fundraising and stewardship event support. Provides administrative support to the Library's Foundation Board.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required include:
- Proficient in use of fundraising or customer relationship management (CRM) database software (specifically Raiser's Edge)
- Ability to demonstrate proficient use of personal computer software or systems applicable to the essential functions of the job, which may include (but not be limited to) email/calendar software, internet/intranet browsers, word processing, spreadsheets, and various systems or software used by CCPL.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
- Skill in prioritizing, coordinating, and scheduling work.
- Skill in reviewing work for correctness, completeness and accuracy.
- Ability to accurately organize and maintain paper documents and electronic files
- Skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with co-workers, customers, donors, vendors, and/or representatives of other agencies.
- Ability to demonstrate proficient usage of English grammar, spelling and punctuation rules, and to utilize simple mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, etc
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions, including the ability to successfully prioritize both emergency and non-emergency issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of and previous experience working with fundraising software to manage, track and process all gifts to the Library and Library Foundation.
- Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion and confidentiality especially as it relates individual, foundation and corporate giving.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Complies with Cuyahoga County Public Library's policies, rules, guidelines, procedures, requirements, standards, and practices applicable to the job, including (but not limited to) work scheduling and attendance, customer service, use of Library property, computer use, personal conduct, and confidentiality
- Processes all gifts made to the Library or Library Foundation using fundraising software. Generates acknowledgement letters in a timely manner.
- Enters grant information into the Library's finance system as required in a timely manner, communicating with other internal Library divisions as needed to ensure accuracy.
- Supports all direct mail and online appeals through list development and segmentation.
- Supports Division staff in coordination of special events, including assisting with event ticket processing.
- Supports CCPL Foundation Board needs, including requests for information and data.

Summary Minimum Education & Experience Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must have proficiency with Raiser's Edge (or similar donor database software) and demonstrate ability to utilize common business programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Preferred experience includes two to four years related, demonstrated experience in fundraising/special events/non-profit environment.
OTHER TESTING/LICENSES REQUIRED
1. A criminal background check is required, as is pre-employment screens for drug and nicotine usage.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. May involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, as with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, outside weather conditions, etc.
- Position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items (25-40 lbs.), pushing full carts and/or standing for long periods of time as well as frequent bending, stooping and walking.
- Involves frequent use of computer terminal.
