Data Entry & Gift Processing Specialist - Full-Time

Wayside Cross Ministries, a Bible-based, Christ-centered non-profit organization for the homeless, addicted and abused seeks an experienced, detail-oriented Data Entry & Gift Processing Specialist to process, track, and report donations on behalf of the ministry. You must have a heart for the people we serve, and be very comfortable with Blackbaud database management and gift processing software. This position reports to the Communications Manager.

Location: Aurora, IL - a suburb of the greater Chicago area

Compensation: Commensurate with experience | Note: this position does not include relocation compensation

Your Experience Must Include: 2 or more years experience in Non-profit Gift Processing and Database management with hands-on experience in Blackbaud Razors Edge and Online Express Software including: Receipting, Check Processing, Donor Records Management, and a familiarity with accounting and banking procedures and best practices desired.

Must also be able to:
– Enter and Update data, create and run queries in the required software
– Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
– Verify data by comparing it to source documents
– Prepare acknowledgement letters and receipts for all gifts
– Create Gift batch reports
– Retrieve records data from the database or electronic files as requested
– Have a working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and
peripheral devices (printers and check scanners for banking)
– Experience in Check-processing and Banking procedures
– Basic understanding of databases
– Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills
– Great attention to detail
– Agree with our Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct

Education: High school graduate or higher and 2 or more years of gift processing experience working with Blackbaud Razors Edge or comparable software.
