Seeking a local Database Administrator at Boston Arts Academy Foundation

Boston Arts Academy Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting Boston Arts Academy, the city's only public high school for the visual and performing arts. We are seeking a local consultant to serve as Database Administrator for 20+ hours per week.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepare paperwork for the annual audit as directed;
  • Work with the VP of Finance and the Accountant to reconcile Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge data monthly;
  • Train an incoming part-time Data and Gift Entry Associate to enter and upload donations; issue donation acknowledgment letters and receipts within 48 hours or receiving donations; and to produce mailing lists and basic reports.
  • Manage the Raiser's Edge NXT donor database, including data integrity, security, and reporting;
  • Provide data analytics and a weekly dashboard with revenue, cash, progress towards quarterly revenue goals, and each gift officer's progress towards personal revenue goals;
  • Establish and manage campaigns, funds, and appeals;
  • Code and track donations and pledges;
  • Communicate with donors about fulfilling their gifts and pledges;
  • Work with the VP of Philanthropy on quarterly review of donor and prospect solicitor assignments and reassignments; and
  • Provide other reports as needed and assigned.


A minimum of 5 years of comprehensive Raiser's Edge experience is required. Experience with donor revenue platforms including GiveSmart, Facebook, and Amazon Smile is preferred.
