EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three to five years of related nonprofit experience
    Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide active leadership and participation in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and fund holders for ICF and its programs/initiatives.
  • Implement development tactics for raising support from individuals, nonprofit organizations, corporations and foundations in the South Central and Eastern Idaho regions. Activities will include, but are not limited to, written and personal solicitations and educational presentations to individuals and groups about ICF.
    Manage and assist with ICF’s stewardship plan for ICF fund holders, donors and Legacy Society members in the South Central and Eastern Idaho regions.
  • Establish relationships with professional advisors and financial institutions in the South Central and Eastern Idaho regions to raise awareness of ICF and secure major and planned gifts.
  • Implement ICF’s Legacy Society and Forever Idaho fundraising initiatives in South Central and Eastern Idaho.
  • Represent ICF at community and ICF-sponsored events.
  • Create and maintain potential and current donor records in Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Work with the Vice President, Philanthropy and Impact to prepare materials and dashboard reports for quarterly board meetings. Participate in board meetings as requested.
  • Assist with the annual membership campaign, which involves organizing annual solicitation of gifts; stewarding members and identifying prospective members.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Skills in nonprofit fundraising, public speaking, public relations, marketing, and group facilitation are highly desirable.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Must be proficient in the Windows environment to include use of search engines to conduct internet searches. Experience with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, maneuver around building, stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Employee will need the ability to operate general office equipment and regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.   • Must be able to travel periodically throughout Idaho and occasionally outside the state.
