Development Services Coordinator
Graland Country Day School is seeking a Development Services Coordinator. This position has flexible scheduling, from 30-40 hours per week, and includes benefits. The position will be effective immediately and for the duration of the 2021-22 school year, with the possibility to extend.
Reporting to the Director of Development, this position supports all development program areas. Focus is primarily on donation gift recording and acknowledgment, Raiser’s Edge database maintenance, and report generation, as well as general Development Office support.
Graland’s Development Office is responsible for outreach to the school’s internal and external constituencies. Through community outreach and relationship building, the department motivates Graland’s community and the community-at-large to support the school financially. By obtaining resources required by Graland to carry out its educational mission and strategic objectives, the department plays a vital role in contributing to the overall education and personal development of Graland students and maintaining Graland’s place as an outstanding educational institution.
Responsibilities
- Hold responsibility for all donation gift entry, tracking, and filing on a timely basis
- Oversee and process Graland’s receipt of corporate matching gifts, securities, and wire transfers
- Overall production and mailing of donation acknowledgment receipts and template notes and letters on a timely basis
- Produce and distribute quarterly donor pledge reminders
- Produce Raiser’s Edge reports for development staff, business office, school administration, and volunteers
- Hold responsibility for overseeing constituent data entry and change in Raiser’s Edge and/or CORE
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Data Systems to perform all global changes and updates to the database, including appeals and annual Graland targets/solicitations
- Partner with business, finance, and accounting staff re: gift entry, fund creation, gift designation, as well as audit and tax reporting
- Create all necessary mailing and email lists
- Perform other duties as requested, delegated, interested, or assigned
Qualifications
- Education, Formal Training and Experience – Associates degree or higher in business or equivalent combination of education and experience; one to three years of related development experience in non-profits preferred.
- Required Skills – familiarity with data systems, 1-2 years of experience with Blackbaud products/Raiser’s Edge preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to balance multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines; ability to work independently and as part of a team; positive attitude and growth mindset – an eagerness to learn new tasks and approaches, to collaborate with and learn from others, to think “outside the box.”

Salary and Benefits
- Hourly compensation will be in the range of $20-24/hour.
