Digital Fundraising Manager - New Exciting Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Fundraising Manager is responsible for supporting Harvesters’ digital fundraising efforts. This position will work under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Annual Giving and in collaboration with other development staff and third party vendors to grow online revenue, acquire and retain online donors, and create a best-in-class online experience for our supporters.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Fundraising and Marketing
- Build and deploy emails to support annual digital fundraising and engagement strategy. Tasks may include HTML coding, audience creation and segmentation, A/B testing, building donation forms, and some creative design.
- Collaborate with Fund Development Team Members to build and implement targeted donor journeys.
- Serve as department’s expert for best practices in creating effective audience journeys (that utilize automation techniques) and creating variable content that delivers the right message, to the right person at the time.
- Connect strategy with tactics and presenting data in an understandable and actionable way
- Monitor, track and report on key performance indicators.
- Help maintain and optimize online donation process. Regularly update donation autoresponders.
- Create new ways to collect email addresses and limit unsubscribes to encourage growth of email database while also maintaining the quality of the e-house file to maximize deliverability
- Developing digital donor journey(s) (12-24 months into work) for annual giving donors & giving groups and for mid-level and major donors whose preference is digital communication.
- Collaborate with Communications team to further develop social media fundraising and strengthen constituent profiles using tools like Attentively.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating new opportunities for online fundraising.
- Support onboarding/development of text for cultivation (new tool for Annual Giving)
Customer Service
- Provide excellent technical support for online donors and peer-to-peer event participants. Maintain personal contact and good relationships with donors through timely and polite responses to donor inquiries.
- Provide quality and timely technical support to relevant internal staff
Data Management and Administration
- Work with Donor Services team to ensure appropriate coding of online gifts in Raiser’s Edge database for reporting, acknowledgement, recognition, communication and continued cultivation of donors.
- Collaborate with other Development and Communications staff to ensure coordinated and integrated development strategies across digital channels and calendars.
- Serve as an active member of the Development team, contributing to goal setting, revenue generation and the refinement of processes and procedures. Provide onsite and offsite support for Food Bank events and other activities as needed.
- Perform related responsibilities as required.

- Must be detail-oriented and able to simultaneously manage multiple projects, including the ability to manage timelines, work on multiple deadlines, multi-task and collaborate with others to achieve goals in a busy office environment or remotely.
- The ability to effectively communicate and interact with current and prospective donors, volunteers, co-workers and the public is required.
- This position functions in an office environment and requires local travel in the service area. It requires the use of general office equipment such as computers, copiers, attention to detail.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
- 2-3 years of digital fundraising experience, marketing, and or communications experience
- Understanding of basic HTML coding. Proficiency in HTML, CSS or JavaScript preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of fundraising best practices, benchmarks and trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with donor databases and audience segmentation.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE BASE:
- Familiarity with Luminate Online, Luminate TeamRaiser, Classy, and/or other email marketing and online fundraising platforms
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge/NXT CRM
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Graphic design experience
- Passion for Harvesters’ mission
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF TIME AND TRAVEL:
• There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 10 pounds.
• Expected travel time for this position is minimal. Must be able to travel around Harvesters 26 county region.
• Standard work hours between the hours of 8am-5pm with some flexibility
