Stewardship Officer

Under the supervision of the Manager of Annual Fund, the Stewardship Officer is responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive stewardship program for the Food Bank in collaboration with the development, volunteer engagement, and communications teams. This position will implement the stewardship strategy with focus on special donor groups such as major giving circles, sustained giving, workplace giving, and volunteers and coordinate with other development and organizational teams for events including planning, and administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Promote a culture of stewardship and stewardship best practices across donor groups and the overall organization
  • Maintain a comprehensive and strategic stewardship strategy supporting and in collaboration with the development, volunteer engagement, and communications teams
  • Enhance and implement robust strategies and processes that support gift acknowledgement, donor relations and cultivating a portfolio of approximately 13,000 prospective mid-level donors
  • Provide prospecting and cultivation support to individual, corporate, and foundation teams
  • Utilize the Food Bank’s CRM Raiser’s Edge to maintain donor records and activities
  • Analyze and report upon major giving circles, sustainers, volunteers, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with and support management and administration of special stewardship initiatives across teams
  • Assist with organizational events and food drives and other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination
  • Fundraising experience
  • Proficient Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to take direction and multi-task
  • Ability to be motivated and a self-starter
  • Passion for the Food Bank’s mission and core values
