Development Operations Coordinator - Eastern Virginia Medical School

Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Development Operations and closely collaborating with the Director of Donor Relations and frontline fundraising staff, the incumbent is responsible for processing all daily gift batches in Raiser’s Edge database; production of all gift receipts and pledge reminders; production of acknowledgment reports; assisting the Director and the Technical Support Analyst in data analysis, maintaining data integrity, and adding new/updated data to the database.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all pledges and gifts to the EVMS Foundation are processed, receipted, acknowledged in an accurate, timely manner through utilizing Raiser’s Edge query and mail merge functions.
  • Analyze and research gifts to determine appropriate campaigns, funds, appeals/packages, and solicitors for each gift processed.
  • Process monthly employee payroll deduction donations and code appropriately.
  • Follow gift adjustment procedures and execute gift adjustments as directed by supervisor and maintain appropriate documentation in CRM for recordkeeping.
  • Develop queries and reports in Rasier’s Edge and prepare reports for donors, colleagues and others as requested; includes but not limited to daily batch reports, monthly reconciliation reports, pledge reminder reports, weekly donor reports, soft credit reports.
  • Creates appeal and package codes in Raiser’s Edge by maintaining a consistent structure for reporting. Create events in Raiser’s Edge and link donor and/or gifts using import functions of Raiser’s Edge.
  • Add new and update constituent records from various data sources (i.e. gift documentation, returned mail, obituaries, staff requests, other systems, news articles, board appointments, lists, etc).
  • Analyze or research information and populate all appropriate data fields where information is available including (but not limited to), demographics and relationships.
  • Reach out to external parties to confirm information as needed or provide financial confirmation as requested.
  • Run assigned data health check queries and clean data appropriately, including duplicates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Associate degree plus three (3) years gift entry experience in Raiser’s Edge. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in CRM databases preferred. Experience in higher education, human services, finance, and/or medical environment preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required Word, Excel, Outlook an MS Access. Exceptional data entry speed and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work towards goals with deadlines; will have multiple deadlines to meet simultaneously and works with supervisor to manage priorities and organize accordingly.
