Manager, Event Technology @ ZERO-The End of Prostate Cancer

ZERO’s Manager, Event Technology will play an integral part in event registration through building registration websites and using a variety of platforms. This role will partner with the Marketing & Communications team to execute on various strategies including the creation of email marketing messages and social media advertisements. The Manager, Event Technology will also facilitate training for new hires and use metrics for reporting.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build and manage all event registration websites utilizing the Luminate Online/Teamraiser platforms for ZERO’s 40+ Run/Walks and Endurance program and other events as needed.
- Build event registration websites utilizing a third party platform (ex. Run Sign Up) for our smaller events series - Golf Tee-Off and DIY events.
- Manage and build email marketing for all events including event recruitment, logistics, and fundraising coaching messages.
- Create and manage the email marketing calendar for events and collaborate with ZERO’s marketing team on the overall organizational email calendar.
- Segment email recipients to leverage database information and increase acquisition, engagement, and open rates.
- Execute A/B testing on select emails to improve performance.
- Track and report on event e-marketing metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage Facebook ad campaigns for all events.
- Manage and build the digital components of ZERO’s Facebook Challenges.
- Train new employees on Luminate Online and its components during new hire onboardings.
- Build custom registration and fundraising reports in Luminate Online.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Demonstrated exemplary project management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to fully complete projects on time and prioritize work on competing priorities.
- Proficiency writing HTML, CSS, data tags/CRM email integrations, and conditional logic. Additional consideration for knowledge of website frameworks like Bootstrap/Foundation/MJML.
- Experience with email service provider and website content management software. Strong preference for Blackbaud’s Luminate Online/TeamRaiser. Consideration will also be given for demonstrably understanding of advanced techniques (email template creation, CRM data integration) in other ESP and fundraising software providers (i.e. MailChimp, Constant Contact, AWeber, Classy, Salsa, DonorDrive, and/or CiviCRM).
- Understanding of Digital Marketing best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or other relevant field, or equivalent years of experience
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or certification in digital marketing, web development, or email marketing
- Experience with a nonprofit event series
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Blackbaud’s Luminate Online “S Tag” system
- Experience with all aspects of Blackbaud’s Luminate Online, including TeamRaiser events, surveys, ticketed events, e-commerce, report writer, data imports, segmentation queries, and creating websites
Physical Requirements:
- Constant use of a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as computer printer, calculator, and copier.
- Prolonged periods of a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
- The ability to recognize details at close range for extended periods of time.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
