Donor Services Assistant
Job Description: This position functions at 0.75 FTE (30-34 hours per week), $15/hr. with benefits and provides support to the Donor Services team by focusing on management of the donor database, gift entry, pledge reminders, data hygiene, and other tasks as requested.
Essential Functions:
- Manage donor database including:
- maintain accurate donor information
- maintain accurate gift and constituent coding
- manage process to sync online gifts
- transfer data from one database to another
- scan and upload documents
- assist with other data hygiene projects as time allows
- Gift entry from the following sources:
- Cash/Checks/Credit Cards
- Lockbox Detail/Import
- Other misc. donation sources
- Manage Luminate online giving platform
- As needed, respond to donor correspondence, including questions, requests, donations, etc. via mail, email, and/or telephone
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required; College education and/or additional training and certification are a plus.
- Experience with database management is required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Database management experience required, at least three years preferred
- Raiser’s Edge Fundamentals or similar CRM experience required
- Pays attention to details to achieve thoroughness and accuracy
- Ability to take direction and multi-task
- Ability to be motivated and a self-starter
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office, Outlook, Excel
- Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data
- Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
- Knowledge of nonprofit donor protocols and best practices preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
- Ability to apply an ethical code and good judgment, and to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion
- Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, etc.)

Physical Demands:
- This job will operate remotely on a full-time basis, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- May require occasional work on evenings and weekends to support events.
- This role is occasionally required to stand or sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
