Position Description

The Database Operations Coordinator is an exciting new part-time role at Evans Scholars Foundation and will be responsible for helping manage operations and maintenance (O&M) on the WGA/ESF Database: Raiser’s Edge. The Database Operations Coordinator will be a self-driven individual with a high attention to detail. The Database Operations Coordinator will be part of the Accounting Department and report to the Senior Director of Database Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Integrations: Run weekly integration between databases (Luminate Online and Raiser’s Edge).
  • Database Maintenance: “Clean-up” of tables in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Event Creation: Creation of new events, appeals and funds.
  • Systems’ Support: Point-person for Blackbaud support; i.e. system issues, specific user issues, etc. Determine best way to address/resolve.
  • Data Creation: Creation of basic queries, exports, reports, and data files.
  • System Updates: Make necessary updates in system from provided Google docs.
  • Accounts Payable Support: May assist with accounts payable as needed; entering invoices, expenses, etc.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Reasoning Ability solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Luminate software; Internet software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
