Does your institution send personal acknowledgement letters, signed by school President or VP based on size of gift? If so, what is your threshold? We are curious at which level a donor would get a hand-written note from President ($5000? $25K) , vs. Vice President, or other? Thanks in advance for sharing your practices!

    We have letters sent and signed by our Director of Annual Giving for $ 250 - $999; Vice President of Advancement for $1,000 to $2,499 , and gifts of $2,500 and above receive a letter signed by the University President.

    We are a church, gifts over $10K get a letter. Also 1st time givers get a letter. Then we send out letters to everyone quarterly.
