KEES has been exclusively retained by North Park University in its search for a Director of Advancement Services.

Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Advancement Services is responsible for leading strategy, operations, and database management for the Office of Advancement. The Director will be a systems thinker, helping establish and improve processes and procedures while directing Advancement Services work to drive team and departmental efficiency, outcomes, and attainment of goals. Responsible for leading the operational aspects of an Advancement Services team currently comprised of the Advancement Services Coordinator and Prospect Research Manager, this role will serve as a database management expert in donor data, gift management, and reporting.They will also serve as liaison to the University Business Office and the Office of Information Technology, providing leadership and support related to Advancement database systems and donor data university-wide. The Director of Advancement Services will work closely with the senior leadership of the Advancement Office to provide a comprehensive understanding of philanthropy-related data, reporting, and strategic goal achievement. Finally, the new Director will serve as the lead team member, ensuring a smooth transition to the newly implemented Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT CRM cloud fundraising software through best practice usage and coordinating with team members, University leadership, vendors, and other partners to inform donor database strategy and to achieve maximum utility.

Some specific requirements include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic development operations management, including 2 or more years supervising advancement professionals.
  • Data/constituent management expertise required. Raiser’s Edge NXT experience highly preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing an advancement reporting system related to the development of major gifts, campaigns, and annual giving.
  • Proven ability to build communicative and collaborative relationships with campus / business partners.
  • Experience providing database training to staff with varying degrees of technological understanding and competence.

Compensation will be determined based on experience and skills within the range of $60,000 – $70,000. Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, personal days, sick days, and holidays. 100% tuition remission is offered to full time faculty and staff effective on the start date of employment. Spousal/dependent tuition remission offered at a reduced rate for certain programs.
