Development Database Coordinator

Summary

Responsible for:

  • Processing, recording and accounting for cash and in-kind donations, generating mailing lists and reports, and maintaining donor records in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  • Developing and integrating technology and systems for greater efficiency.

Essential Duties

  1. Records and accounts for all cash, credit card, stock and in-kind donations received including sponsorships and underwriting.
  2. Generates and/or develops policies and procedures for generating acknowledgement letters for cash, credit card, matching gifts and stock gifts received, as well as general operational office activities.
  3. Maintains donor records and accurate contact information for all donors and prospects, including data research and data mining.
  4. Develops and generates statistical information, metrics and reports as required and requested by the department.
  5. Generates required mailing lists and donor lists.
  6. Provides monthly and annual reports of contribution income in order to reconcile with the accounting department.
  7. Manages all campaign or donation buttons needed for social media, website, eblasts, etc. fundraising efforts and integrates database capacities to enhance fundraising efforts.
  8. Develops and maintains professional skills in database management and technology by participating in seminars and other educational programs; researches and reads professional journals and reports; discusses activities with peers.
  9. Performs a wide variety of skilled administrative and clerical duties including filing, responding to telephone calls and e-mails in a timely, friendly manner and providing needed services as able.
  10. Responds to inquiries and requests for information from special interest groups and the public.

Qualifications

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:

  • College Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • A working knowledge of personal computer operations, Office and related business software including Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the development team
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, nights and weekends when involved in special events
  • Current California driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier
  • Strong problem solving skills
