Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Database Specialist oversees and is responsible for all functions related to the donor management software system; including the donor database, online payments module, wealth research module, mass communications, queries and reporting modules, and events module. The Database Specialist maintains relevant certification in the administration of the donor management software system. The Database Specialist supports the Foundation and fundraising by analyzing data requests and producing and interpreting the results. Works independently and in a team setting to support a broad range of Foundation Board of Directors, committees, events, and other initiatives. May require some weekend and/or evening hours.

Required Qualifications:

Associate Degree and demonstrated, progressive related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or demonstrated related work experience.

Demonstrated experience working with Windows-based computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) products.

Demonstrated experience working with database programs, including data entry, data reporting, and creating and executing of queries.

Demonstrated customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Blackbaud Fundamentals Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT, or ResearchPoint.

Certification in Blackbaud Professional Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Experience in event planning.

Experience working with donors and volunteers.

Experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL)
