The Courtauld Institute of Art has become the world’s foremost centre for the study of visual art with renowned programmes in the history of art, conservation and curating. The Senior Manager for Development Operations has oversight of day-to-day processes, operations, and systems to help drive the overall strategic direction of fundraising at The Courtauld. The work of the Senior Manager for Development Operations underpins the success of the Development team at The Courtauld and helps drive the institution’s success in delivering its business plan. The Senior Manager for Development Operations will have a comprehensive and working knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements, higher education policies and procedures, financial systems, and broader issues which relate to and impact fundraising.

The post-holder is required to use creativity, initiative and analytical skills to independently address and resolve non-standard problems and work issues associated with information and financial systems, day-to-day processes, operations, as well as changes in legislation and regulations. They are expected to put forward recommendations in order to contribute to the management of more complex situations and longer-term strategy.
